Confirmed seizures of criminal assets worth over 48 million lei and frozen illicit assets worth about 13 million lei

The Criminal Assets Recovery Agency (CARA) of the National Anti-corruption Centre (NAC) has informed about the confirmation by court decisions of the seizures applied to illicit assets worth over 48 million lei.

Also last week, seizures were applied to assets worth over 2 million lei, based on the delegations of the Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases (PCCOCS), the Ialoveni District Prosecutor's Office and the Criminal Assets Recovery Agency (CARA). These include 3 means of transport, 2 construction plots and cash. The assets were seized in a case of fraud, money laundering and the organization of illegal migration.

At the same time, the CARA issued a freezing order on a car, a real estate asset and 10 bank accounts worth about 13 million lei.
